GogglesnTeeth 6 #1 July 4, 2006 This has been bugging me for a while. I have been wondering how much has been spent in Iraq vs how much damage Hurricane Katrina cost... Here are a few links about what I've found.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4195018.stm http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11880954/ short version.... War in Iraq could soon reach the cost of $1 Trillian. Katrina insurance cost estimated at $25 billion.Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!" quade 4 #4 July 5, 2006 The insurance is irrelevant. All you're really talking about is who is footing the bill. In either case a substantial portion is coming from the U.S. government. Also, the hurricane was going to do X amount of damage to lives or property whether you had insurance or not. Contrast this with the Iraq war. A completely under estimated pricetag at the beginning for a completely optional occurance.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

At least it's not coming from we upper income bracket taxpayers. Just borrow some more.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
