This is one of the thing he and his cronies were giving shit to Al Gore about 7 years ago. Well, guess who was right and who was wrong about the issue. unformed 0 #6 June 27, 2006 Our great president has spent the last seven years protecting us from terrorism. Since he started there has not been a terrorist act on our soil which means we won. This is due to his courage to do the right thing even though everybody was saying he was wrong. Now however, he wants to go back and focus on the other problems, which he would have taken care of years ago had we not been attacked by terrorists. This ad space for sale. billvon 3,090 #7 June 27, 2006 >Meanwhile, he's been sitting on his hands and he's wasted 7 years >when he could have been doing something. Well, all kidding aside, this is good news overall. He doesn't understand all the issues yet ('clean coal' does not reduce CO2 emissions without additions like sequestration) but I'm glad he's taking this issue seriously, or at least saying he does. If nothing else, his statement will help take climate change from the latest political football to a serious problem worthy of consideration.

Try protecting a whole-nation from freedom-hating terrorists while protecting the environment from global warming while trying to bring morality back into our nation, all at the same time while his constituents are watching American Idol and eating Burger King and complaining he's not doing a good enough job. Amazon 7 #13 June 27, 2006 Quotetrying to bring morality back into our nation Gee like lets try the Ten Commandments.... Which one is the one about Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors oil. Or the one about.. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thine neighbor...because he has a bunch of oil your buddies want. I particularly love the one about Thou shalt not kill..... Personally I think he is responsible for the deaths of thousands of human beings.. I hope he recieves his just rewards for that one. But You know.... the former president.... I mean ALL of the Ultra right just hated him because he broke the adultery one... yup.. that is aooo much more important than taking your country off to a war that could have been avoided.... interesting take on morality you have.. freeflydrew 0 #14 June 27, 2006 QuoteTry protecting a whole-nation from freedom-hating terrorists while protecting the environment from global warming while trying to bring morality back into our nation... Yeah guys, cut Bush some slack! LOL Bush has wasted money, wasted resources, made poor decisions, and ignored many serious issues... he's put us in a worse position now then we were 9/12/2001... it's basically a matter of time before we are attacked again, and nothing that Bush has done is protecting us from that. Hey, give the man a break! I bet GWB loves Burger King and American Idol... Clay was probably his favorite, with Katherine a close second. lol

This reminds me of the time (I think 1986) when Margaret Thatcher suddenly went "Green" and started talking about how we must do something about CO2 emissions. Then she said the solution was to buy/build 8 nuclear reactors identical to the Three-Mile-Island one. Now it's Dubya's turn. "We MUST do something about the environment... Therefore we MUST go Nuclear! WHY do I get the feeling that Dubbie & his family / pals / etc... Have just bought shares in Nuclear Power companies..? Believe me... A side note that is not meant to imply anything eitherway about GWB: You do realize that after that commandment was given to Moses, God ordered the slaughter of entire nations in the Bible? Not just the men, but the women, the children and even the livestock. Just food for thought while picking out individual pieces of the Bible to pass judgement on something.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." miked10270 0 #23 June 27, 2006 Small point... What does 9/11 have to do with Dubbie wanting to spend a load of (government) money on Nuclear Reactors? I'm guessing that this is the opening move in Federal aid and tax-breaks to subsidise the nuclear power industry. My own suspicions are that this is what George-Herbie & his family have just bought shares in and want the value of their investment to rise. Mike. Casurf1978 0 #25 June 27, 2006 GW is beyond ridiculous. On Sept 12, 2001 he was handed the World. For the first time in human history most of the World was united behind one person and what did he do. He pissed it all away. Five years later OBL is still at large, AQ has not been defeated, Iraq is a freaking mess, the war is going to cost us close to half a trillion dollars or more, over 2500 of our troops are dead, 130K Iraqis are displaced, and Afghanistan is off our radar screen. The guy is a poster child for the village idiot.
