freethefly 6 #1 June 27, 2006 http://www.building-block.org/Priorities.html Whether or not you have children of your own, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! (sorry for the shout, sometimes you have to speak loud if you wish to be heard). These people know what they are talking about as they are survivors of abuse and the system that allowed it. Their goal is to make this the number one priority and to bring about change so that other children will not have to suffer. Your own child, the child next door, a child across town may be suffering without your knowledge. There is a way to end abuse and it requires your attention and devotion. I honestly hope that you get involved. If you are not in America, get involved with a child advocay group where you live as this IS a global problem that has been hushed for too long. Hillary Clinton is right that "It takes a village to raise a child". Put your politics aside and do what is right. Make this planet a better place. Hope you learn something."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Most hookers and druggies aren't doing it for the fabulous perks... Lots of people feel they "need a drink" just after a normal hard day. If you've had an abnormally fucked up life since childhood, odds are that simply existing is painfully hard. There are a lot of coping mechanisms people turn to in their lives - drugs and other escapes can seem to provide momentary relief. And one moment's relief when every moment hurts is an easy choice to make sometimes, even when the consquences are dire. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
