StreetScooby 5 #2 June 8, 2006 That would be alot of ammunition to replace. Very expensive. That's one of the reasons why new guns have always been very difficult to get into military operations. We are all engines of karma

GQ_jumper 4 #5 June 9, 2006 We've known for a long time that 5.56 didn't do the job, and we've been complaining about it for years, they're right about the 6.8, i've seen the ballistic gel tests. where 5.56 penetrates over 14 inches before it creates any hydrostatic shock, the 6.8 makes it about half an inch and then creates a huge cloud of damage beyond that. for now all we can do is use 5.56 with a heavier grain, ie 77 grain long range rounds, and the other trick is to hit the spine, i don't care if you're only using a .22, you hit the spine he goes down and doesn't get up. my teams rule is that you can miss the heart as much as you want as long as that round hits the spine, simple rule huhHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D.
