ChrisHoward 8 #2 May 27, 2017 As in the lanyard from the slider to the DBag? Spectra will do the job.

hookitt 1 #6 May 29, 2017 ChrisHowardAs in the lanyard from the slider to the DBag? Spectra will do the job. All the ones I know of use Dacron. Is that what you meant? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
ChrisHoward 8 #7 May 29, 2017 hookittAll the ones I know of use Dacron. Is that what you meant? No, I meant Spectra just like I said. You are correct though, Dacron is common. I took the Dacron off of my RDSs because of the line burn it was causing on my canopies. Admittedly I use the RDS at high loadings at terminal which is beyond what PD recommends. richoH 6 #8 May 30, 2017 Originally I considered building one out of dacron, but comparing the dacron I have sitting around with the material the lanyard I have, it feels as though either the lanyard is made of a different material I couldn't identify, or is coated. The dacron I have handy I think would destroy my center cell very quickly. Keith, thanks! I DM'd you an address. Please let me know how I can repay you :)

Alexg3265 0 #10 June 3, 2017 anything really will work but the thicker the line is, the less likely line burns on your tail are going to be... just my experience... id go with 900lb dacron...I was that kid jumping out if his tree house with a bed sheet. My dad wouldn't let me use the ladder to try the roof...
Alexevil 0 #11 February 11, 2018 What is the use of this swivel?... It seems to me it only damages the canopy.... Clwhy not use only a soft link ?
mbailey465 1 #12 February 12, 2018 My understanding is that the swivel helps stop the drag on the d-bag from twisting up the lanyard. I have however seen plenty of people use no swivel without any major issues.
richoH 6 #13 February 12, 2018 I have jumped a wing without a swivel a few times now. It works but getting the twists out is really annoying. Some people wrap a couple of slinks around the swivel, but I don't bother.
