Jeb Corliss in NYC........busted

Has anybody checked out the new interview of Jeb Corliss with Geraldo? I hadn't heard about this until I saw it on skydingmovies.com.
It looked like a cool stunt if he could pull it off. He didn't and he got busted, rather than taking his medicine, he just pisses and moans. I have to ......(gulp............clears throat.......) agree with Geraldo on this one. NYC in the middle of the afternoon, the Empire State Building, the crowded observation deck in disguise with a large pack on his back. I'm surprised some whuffo didn't do something worse than just grab him.
Don't let my name fool ya, most times I agree with BASE jumpers who get busted, I've actually run a little interference for some local ones. They usually pick the RIGHT time and place, this one is just wrong on all levels.
Any thoughts?

Where are all the BASE peeps on here? The ones who defend other BASE jumpers no matter how stupid their stunt was.
If he would have had an equipment malfunction over the crowded streets he really could have killed someone.

what he needed to do is find an accomplice in the building then have his rig and anything else he will require shipped fed ex to the office of his choice, arrive in disguise then go up change and get geared up.

Early in the morning, late at night. My point is it scared the shit out of everybody, if I'd have been there (as a tourist) I would have kicked the shit out of him until the cops got there just because of the circumstances I described earlier. The british police shot a guy for a lot less, thinking he was a terrorist.
I agree when the hazard is very minimal charging a BASE jumper with "inducing panic or disorderly conduct" is messed up. In this case he did cause a huge panic and he was dealt with.
