Joe I would guess that a lot of them are also not wearing leathers / helmets / etc? Well thats the kicker. No most are not wearing helmets or leathers. kansas is helmet choice state. However most of the cases and almost 99% of them infact... would have had no affect with helmet or leathers! It is just shear/ impact trauma and that can make anyones day bad! While I am here let me say that. seatbelts don't do any good if you are not wearing them! and alot of people will argue that they know someone that would have died if they had a seatbelt on.. but most of the time it is proven that seat belts save lives. Perhaps the two 24yr old boys that we worked at 6am this morning would be better off (as in walking) if they had seatbelts on last night when they drove off into the gully thru the woods! Our first pt was paralized and I took him to the chopper and the other kid took 2hrs of extracation to get the car out from around him.. he was broken from about the c4 down! Seatbelts, helmets, and leathers are all part of your transportation needs. Joewww.greenboxphotography.com

BillyVance 35 #36 May 5, 2006 QuoteQuote It's crap like this that proves that racing motorcycles are best left to the tracks by experienced racers, not on public roads... Yep, that's simply brilliant, Billy. Let's ban all sport bikes from public streets simply because you managed to find a single 10 year old instance of a motorcyclist actually killing someone besides himself. Z You mis-read my quote. I meant you should not ride a motorcycle at racing speeds on public roads. Sure, everybody's got a right to ride what they want if they're trained for it. This incident is an example of what NOT to do on public roads. Oh, I'm terribly sorry, Billy. Now that I realize your post was purely an altruistic gesture aimed at saving the lives of your fellow skydivers, I feel that I can help further your cause of keeping us all safe on the road. Here's another example of what not to do on public streets - without the incident photographs.... Driver kills three motorcyclists, pays $70 in fines Mar. 9 – In Iowa, a man driving a van crossed the centerline of a road and hit six approaching motorcyclists head-on, killing three and seriously injuring two others. Recently he was fined $70—a penalty that the state’s attorney general is now asking the state Supreme Court to review with an eye on allowing a stiffer fine and jail time. The case involves Gary Lee Butler, 49, of Des Moines, who was convicted of failing to maintain control of his van, and driving on the wrong side of the road. The high court hasn’t indicated whether it will hear the case. On June 22, 2002, Butler was driving a van along U.S. Highway 30 near Chelsea, west of Cedar Rapids, when he crossed the centerline and plowed into six motorcyclists. Motorcyclists Arlen Pickering, 53, of Story City, Douglas Sampson, 51, of Ames, and Ross Holland, 57, of Boone, were killed in the crash. Motorcyclist Richard Vauble of Ames lost his right leg above the knee, while James Olson, of Ames, spent almost four months in the hospital unconscious. Wayne Wierson, also of Ames, suffered minor injuries. In January, a jury found Butler not guilty of three counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of serious injury by vehicle. A judge then found Butler guilty of the two traffic violations and on February 5 fined him $70. Action©Sports
mattjw916 2 #38 May 6, 2006 I call BS on that picture... where's the blood? How did they extricate the bodies and cleanup the wreck enough to put the vehicle on display? It would take a serious cleaning to get all the body parts, brain-matter, organs, combustible fluids, etc out of the vehicle so it didn't smell up the place. Being a long-time rider I've seen a few gruesome impacts and none were as sterile-looking as this one. Cars usually have a lot of spatter and puddles in the driver area after something like this. I doubt the rider and passenger's were "thrown-clear". Ripped to pieces seems more plausible.NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

Guest #48 May 7, 2006 QuoteQuoteA classic and profoundly sad case of shit happens. Usually, shit doesn't just happen. Sewers are filled with shit that didn't just happen - people put that shit there. It used to be that people merely put there shit wherever they wanted. It was found that this is not exactly the best idea, for shit tended to cause illness and death that could otherwise be avoided if people kept their shit away from other people. It was therefore decided that there should be a place designed especially for shit, so that one person's shit could go to a place where shit can be that won't bother other people. And from a single room where a person could let their shit happen, a better system was designed to collect shit from everyone and move it away safely. It was good - it kept everyone's shit in its place. So while shit continued to happen with the same regularity as before, shit did not happen in a random way - people who felt the need to make shit happen found their way to the appropriate place to start shit. Shit happening on the ground stopped happening, because shit only happens when and where people want shit to happen, and those who couldn't were diapered so that when shit happened, it didn't bother anyone else. It was good, for shit now happened in a place designed for shit to happen. And the population as a whole recognized it and accepted it. Now, human shit on the street is not a freak occurrence, materializing out of mid-air, nor is it acceptable or tolerated. Human shit doesn't just happen - bird shit does - it's tough to control that. Bug shit does, and even to an extent dog shit and cat shit does. Bullshit doesn't, save for the odd accident with people whose job it is to transport and use it for productive purpose. Human shit ends up on the street because somebody decided to put shit there. To draw a comparison, people decided that racers needed a place to go where they wouldn't splatter anyone who didn't want to run that risk unnecessarily. So race tracks were created, where the activity is accepted and desired. Consider it like the sewer, where shit is supposed to go. Not everything in a sewer is shit, and I do not think racing is shitting. Shitting is a good thing, and so is racing. But putting shit in public is a bad thing, and certainly not random or something that just happens. Now, it may be a thrill to shit in public, but others are negatively impacted. Sometimes you gotta take a shit. Sometimes you can be constipated, in which case you gotta push harder on your own. "If you don't push yourself, what fun is life?" Life is no fun if your full of shit and don't push it out, and you've got to do it yourself - ain't nobody gonna help you (unless you need a proctologist). Push that shit out in the goddamned bathroom. It's especially tough to tolerate a shit on the street when everyone knows there are places set aside to do it. It is worse when there are a couple of people competing to figure out whose shit is bigger and smellier, and even who can shit faster. You can go to a bathroom, but what fun is that when you can show everyone outside on the street so proudly how big, smelly and runny your shit is! And it's especially fun knowing that you can get caught for it. And we can all die taking a shit - it happened to Elvis. If somebody steps in it, well, shit happens, right? It's all that person's fault. That person should have been looking more carefully for that dump that was deliberately and intentionally put there for an unsuspecting person to look out for. Shit happens, indeed. And shit happens because of the shitter. The shitter determines how, when and where the shit happens. You can't expect a person who needs to take a shit to hold it, can you? THat sucks. Usually its only the shitter that gets in trouble. It's unfortunate when somebody gets shit on. And I personally would take offense by being needlessly exposed to shit because the shitter either felt the need to shit on others or decided he just couldn't help himself, instead of taking his or her shit where it belongs. Where and when "shit happen" is most certainly not a freak occurrence. And how "shit happens" is well known. To disregard this is to shit on others. in the case of this, the guy shit on two. She also shat on himself, something that we learn from an early age not to do. Take it to the fucking track. That was some good shit."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
