kenz 0 #7 May 2, 2006 maybe i missed the thread on this topic but i just wanted to make a few statements about this topic... do people who are rallying not understand - we really don't care if you're here in our country working your asses off, doing jobs "no one else" wants to do... that is not the point - the point is - do it the right way - just because you want to live here in a country of freedom does NOT warrant you the right to have our tax dollars pay for your expenses... we can't just stroll in other countries and expect them to pay for our bills and education because we feel it's our right, since we played mission impossible and snuck past the borders.... you want to live here and be treated equally? then follow the same laws that everyone else has to - earn your citizenship the way millions of legal immigrants did... it's really not as difficult as people make it out to be, just be patient - it's worth the wait instead of living your life hiding"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
UntamedDOG 0 #8 May 2, 2006 Quotewe really don't care if you're here in our country working your asses off, doing jobs "no one else" wants to do... that is not the point - the point is - do it the right way - Spoken like a true Republican. These people do in fact work shit jobs for shit pay and it isn’t fair the way they are being exploited. Did you ever stop to think that if Americans would stop hiring these illegals, by checking their citizenship before hiring, we wouldn’t have these problems in the first place? Who are you going to point the finger at? That rich Jew company owner who has all the money and the power to make the correct moral decisions? Or blame the group that has nothing and is willing to risk their ass coming over here just to make $4/hr. Do you realize the hypocrisy? This is what America is really about. Capitalism at it’s best. You bitch about taxes. OK, lets tax them on the $6.75/hr they will be making which is minimum wage in California. That puts them in the 10% tax bracket. Guess what, that isn’t even enough revenue to cover the administrative costs to register these workers. Forget about generating enough taxes for schools and health care. There isn’t any profit in taxing the poor. That is precisely why our government refuses to deal with this issue. The end result? We pay more. Illegal immigration is the byproduct of American greed. The only solution is to open the boarder to all Mexicans. When they realize there are no jobs, they will leave. Problem Solved. UntamedDOG

UntamedDOG Why don't we just do away with INS, open our borders to everyone, and not worry about it anymore? Why even bother? Let's give everyone amnesty and a social security card. Controlling the borders is just a stupid idea anyway. I run a business and the majority of my workers are from other countries. All are American citizens. All went through the long process to become legal. All are paid on the same scale as the American born citizens. They are all also really pissed that others are attempting to circumvent the process that they had to go through. By staging these rallys, they have made a grievous error. When the majority of a people is against illegal immigration, you don't piss on their feet. IMO there is no plausible argument for allowing illegal immigration to continue. Frenchy68 0 #10 May 2, 2006 Quotejust because you want to live here in a country of freedom does NOT warrant you the right to have our tax dollars pay for your expenses... I never thought I had that right warranted. Nor did I ever get my expenses paid for. Quotewe can't just stroll in other countries and expect them to pay for our bills and education because we feel it's our right, since we played mission impossible and snuck past the borders.... Damn! I missed on all the fun. I merely took the freakin' plane and went through immigration and customs... Quoteearn your citizenship the way millions of legal immigrants did... it's really not as difficult as people make it out to be, just be patient How so? Being granted a green card or citizenship has little to do with being patient. You can wait all your life and never qualify for either. TheAnvil 0 #11 May 2, 2006 You got the 'we pay more' part right. We pay more for all public services because of the strains these invaders place on our already strained health care, police, and other public services. Opening the border to all would further strain these services, which are already insolvent. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! I have great faith that the government will spend beyond its means. However, I cannot think of any way it could spend that compares in wastefulness to the fiasco in Iraq.
