BUT... if you are not doing anything wrong then why are you worried about them utilizing this tool for National (republican)Security.

I mean its not like this administration would do anything against anoune who disagrees with it politically that is not in the interest of national {republican}security

I expect that there will be similar lawsuits against the other large telecom companies as well, Verizon, BellSouth, Qwest, etc.

However, I expect that these companies would have thought through the consequences of CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information). I wonder if a lawsuit like this would spark any curiosities from the FCC...hmm
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh

Right. I mean, who gives a shit about outing US agents? She probably deserved it. Maybe other people with wives will think twice about crossing the president now - and that's surely a good thing, right?

That horse is still running! ....No thug, just your blind hatred, Irrational hatred. But I like watching! Thanks

Unlike you (I think) should Bush acually do one of the things you accuse him of I would want to see him go down. But it seems accusation is enough for you.

Nice try.....

I don't give a fuck who's plan it is. But as an honest American I still don't appreciate being spied upon even "If I'm doing nothing wrong" w/o a fucking warrant as guaranteed by our constitution. Oh, I forgot, Bush said "It's just a goddamned piece of paper". And I'm sure Roberts will back him on that one>:(

Why not him. Or me or you.
Say the right thing, say the wrong thing to the right person/the wrong person. Complain a little to loudly or pointedly and next thing you know you're a terrorist. "Those who are not with us are against us"

I heard tell there are over two hundred known communists working in the State Department right now. I think there is even a list.

Oh wait...I'm sorry different paranoid

Why would they want to wiretap you or akarunway. Do you feel you pose some sort of threat?

That sounds a "there, there" from a third grade teacher.

Not a particularly effective distraction tactic.

So basically, you have no basis for your fears and anyone who doesn't believe you is a sheeple. Is this your position?

Distraction??? I'm just trying to understand why you are so paranoid. I'm trying to understand if your fears are rational or not. Is this feeling you have that you are being wiretapped just something you can't explain with words? Have you ever felt this way before or is it something new?

Why does the premise have to be that Bush created this tactic? To claim that is bs.

freedoms (of a sort) are compromised for security. Wether anyone likes it or not.

The fallout of Not doing all of this to some extent is what?

I want to know what the bitchers are willing to risk to be able to be completely invisable in this country.

Crap, this whole debate (and accusations) are bogus>:(

I'm going to add a certain perspective to this that I think gets left out of the discussion about this. The NSA was already "passively" listening to domestic communications in the first place.

They were simply told to enhance the algorithms by which they would "listen". NSA was already working on the data mining project to begin with. To be fair to AT&T, NSA already has the ability to poke its nose into any phone switch facility and find enough data to follow whatever path they are choosing to follow.

If I don't say or write a series of "key" words or perceived series of words in a possible "cipher" per se, NSA may not bother with what I write on the Internet or say on the phone.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh

Why would O'Brien pick on Winston Smith?

It's the government, the folks the 2nd Amendment is designed to protect us from, remember?

I haven't said what I think about NSA spying.

I'm just trying to understand why, when the govt. obviously doesn't have the resources to spy on 300 million people, he feels he's being singled out.

See, here I go trying to be sensitive and understanding and show my feminine side and you guys jump all over me. :P

Hardly. Once again you're being nasty and mean-spirited. Nobody claimed to be singled out but you certainly know that simply accusing him of saying so can make him look guilty of paranoia.

You're well aware that you're making a false accusation. Maybe that's because you can't win the argument without it, huh?

and once again you embarrass yourself by making ill-informed statements. Akarunway stated:

***But as an honest American I still don't appreciate being spied upon

and when I asked why they would want to spy on him, the response was:

THAT THE FUCKING NSA HAS FUCKIN SECRET ROOMS IN AT&T's BUILDINGS W/VAST MINING DATABASES. IT AIN"T JUST ME BRO.

Apparently it is you who is incapable of making a point without distorting what people say. But please continue making dumb arguements, I find it very entertaining.
