JohnRich 4 #2 March 27, 2006 Quote25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control. Heck, it happened largely because of gun control. If the British hadn't marched on Lexington and Concorde to confiscate their arms, things would have remained peaceful. At least for a bit longer. Inscribed on several monuments in Lexington, Massachusetts:"Disperse you Rebels. Damn you, throw down your arms and disperse!" - British officer, Lexington, 1775 "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they mean to have a war,let it begin here." - Captain Parker, colonial militia, Lexington, 1775 "By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Her flag in April's breeze unfurled, Here the embattled farmer stood, and fired the shot heard round the world." - Poem inscribed on the Minuteman statue at Concord Bridge. rehmwa 2 #3 March 28, 2006 Typical right wing, compensating tripe. Not even very good. If you take away all the bullets, gun owners would then just go out and beat kittens to get out that macho crap from their systems. They should all be taxed to poverty and then supported through mandatory and government sponsored mediation and yoga training programs. (I'm in N cali this week. How was that? Over the top? I don't want to come across angry, just irritated and self righteous.) ...
