Tenshi 0 #1 March 19, 2006 I want to know how many American citizens voted for the democrats last election. If possible I'd also like the figures for the elections before that. Mind...I am looking for the percentage of American citizens (population) that voted for the Democrats. Not the percentage of voters. I did try google but I didn't find what I was looking for and I'd figure you guys know.
gemini 0 #2 March 20, 2006 http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT/ The Presidential elections get a higher turnout than other US elections. Current US populations is around 298 million. Breakdown based on population is approximately: 2004 R 21% D 20% I 0% 2000 R 17% D 17% I 1% You need to find the US population for 2000 and recompute, but it only took me one query to find the current pop in yahoo. Tenshi 0 #3 March 20, 2006 Hm...I forgot to take into account that a significant amount of population can't vote (children). But if I get this straight, 20% of the population voted Democrat. Edit. Thx btw
