MagicGuy 0 #1 March 8, 2006 Ok, so I know that this topic has been discussed a thousand and one times on here, but I'm a little bit irritated that I can't talk about a fun day at the range without getting shit on in a matter of 2 minutes after making the post. If you don't like guns, fine, don't respond. But why do I have to hear about all of this anti-firearms bullshit every time I mention a gun? The second amendment is the right to hold and bare arms. Why should I have to get shit on for stating that I had a fun time while shooting guns in a safe matter and enviornment? Sorry to ramble, I just think it's bullshit that I can't talk about something I enjoy doing without having to get a lecture.
AggieDave 6 #2 March 8, 2006 You should wear a helmet too. Ok, seriously, I know what you're talking about. Atleast I know I'll have fun, tonight I'm going to the range as well. Its a short range night, I'll probably only put about 450rds down range.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." SpeedRacer 1 #3 March 8, 2006 who's been giving you shit about guns? I've read a lot of gun threads, but I haven't seen much in the way of someone giving someone crap about owning/shooting a gun . jumperboy357 0 #4 March 8, 2006 If you are getting shit just send them my way. I'll shoot the fucker. Just Kidding (a little). It's the law abiding, safe and responsible gun owning individuals who seem to take the heat for a few assholes that ruin it for anyone. I thoroughly enjoy long range accuracy with my 308 or 300 win mag. Nothing excites me more that an sub MOA at 200 yards. I found that it's not worth talking to anyone who just wants to argue with you about firearms. Even though it's veterans that provide the freedom that allows the anti-gunners to express their opinion, their opinion doesn't matter to me.

Sorry to ramble, I just think it's bullshit that I can't talk about something I enjoy doing without having to get a lecture. The extreme anti gun lobby are actually quite amusing. Say the word gun and they start squealing like little schoolgirls "guns....OH_MY_GOD...did you say g-g-g-g-guns???!!!" and they want to wash theior ears with holy water because they heard the G-word. Basically the ones screaming to limit your rights to guns are the same ones screaming for prisoner rights. At the school I work at Charlseton Heston (I beleive) was giving a speach (many years ago)unrelated to guns yet there were protests because of his affiliation with guns. When another prominent member of NAMBLA was giving a speach there were no such protests. Kind of funny priorities, when you think about it. There is something Fruedian about people who have a fixation on stripping every citizen of guns. Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within. MagicGuy 0 #8 March 8, 2006 funks. I write a post describing a fun day at the range, and he responds by saying "Guns are bad. Guns kill people. Goodbye to this thread". Common now. If I wanted to hear a bunch of crap about guns, I'd ask my mother for her opinion. I was simply talking about the good day that I had down at the range, that's all. I was shooting at targets, not people. And I think it's unfair to get shot at for talking about the great time that I had, that's all.

That's where I received the negative comments. I wasn't looking for a debate, simply stating that I had a good time. Thanks for the replies everyone.
