Nacar Hall of fame

Honestly can kiss my ass!!! I don't know if this belongs in SC or the bon but I thought it more for this.
I live in Atlanta and they are all up in arms about how Charlotte is rumored to have sealed the deal on getting the nascar hall of fame. Regardless that the city of Atlanta came up with 75 million dollars from somewhere. There are so many issues here it isn't even funny. If anyone knows anything about atlanta, 75 million dollars could be well spent on something else. Sure they say the hall of fame would bring in something like a billion dollars in 10 years or so. How do they know that? I would expect the newness of the thing to wear off very fast. The politics involved here are ridiculous. I'm sure there are many in Nascar that are living the life right now with "gifts" from our 2 cities.
Not to mention they want to stick this thing in the area of downtown that has 2 professional sports venues, our new aquarium, centennial olympic park, and soon to be new world of coke. That can only bring up numerous more issues.
I understand Nascar is the #1 watched sport these days. I can bet not even half the fans would make it to the thing.
I hope Charlotte is given this contract. They can spend their money on the thing.

I wouldn't worry about that....Charlotte will get it.

If I were a bettin' girl I'd put my money on Charlotte....since 3/4 or more of the shops are within a 50 mile radius.

Charlottes got it. It is a done deal from the reports that I'm hearing. An announcement is supposed to be made on monday 4 PM.
The France family couldn't afford to do it without the tax payers help.

they are trying to market that part of atlanta as basically a tourist trap, like the mall in D.C. but nothing like the National Mall. Did that make any sense...i didn't think so.
