pajarito 0 #3 February 14, 2006 I think he probably needs to stay out of the woods. I don't have much sympathy for idiots with guns. Not saying he's an idiot otherwise. Just looks like he is with a gun.

I'd love to see that. Man we SOOOO need to have that up here.. there are FAR too many idiots with ZERO skills in the woods here in WA.. and OR... I only hunt in wilderness areas anymore... that at least weeds out the FRIGGIN ROADHUNTERS... the guys who get ready for deer season by going for 4 new tires for thier 4x4. Also I figure the assholes who are drunk will fall down and hurt themselves up in the rugged high country so I am safer...
peckerhead 0 #8 February 15, 2006 Do you know the difference between Dick Cheney and Bill Clinton? They both tried to shoot someone in the face but Clinton missed.

Darius11 12 #11 February 15, 2006 I don’t know Mr. Cheney personally but from everything I have heard or read about him he is a businessman whose main goal is to make money for him self. I just think he should be treated like anyone else. Not worst or better. I am so sick of these guys getting away with whatever they do and getting special treatment. SkyDekker 1,465 #16 February 15, 2006 QuoteHow many "common men" have had to make a press statement over a hunting accident? So he got to delay his chat with the cops, because he also has to talk to the press? Or, are you saying that because he is the VP he should be allowed to make sure all the stories are straight before chatting with the cops?

Why do you think there are "stories" that need to be gotten straight? Because the MSM told you so. WOW, aren't you the one who's always complaining that people believe whatever the press tells them? Or do you only believe the press when they fall in line with your agenda of hate for the Bush Admin.? Had this been you or me, it wouldn't have even made the papers and the sheriff dept. would have come to the hospital and gotten statements from the shooter and the person shot, found it was an accident, filed a report and that would have been the end of it. SkyDekker 1,465 #19 February 15, 2006 I don't think there are stories all...the question was how he was treated differently from the common man. the 14 hours was the answer. then the question all of a sudden became, well how many common men have to make a press statement over a hunting accident....still trying to figure out what that has to do with the original question. Gravitymaster 0 #20 February 15, 2006 QuoteExactly the point I was trying to make...thanks, Gm! When I read the papers and see how the Lefties are so up in arms about such a silly minor incident like this, I realize how desperate they are. My guess is they are reading the latest polls and that's the real issue here.
SkyDekker 1,465 #21 February 15, 2006 Personally I could care less how many people the VP shoots while trying to hit a quail. The question was how he was treated differently....

I don't know how you guys do things in Canada, but here in the US, the hospital has to report any gunshot wound immediately to the police. The only issue is how long it took for the press to be informed by Cheney. Had this been anyone else, nothing would have been said at all had they not reported it to the press. So the question is, why is Cheney being held to a different standard, and why does he have any obligation to report this to the press at all? Didn't the Liberals lecture us repeatedly about politicians being entitled to a private life during the Clinton years?
SkyDekker 1,465 #23 February 15, 2006 If you recall, it wasn't Cheney who reported it to the press. Nor do I think he has an obligation to report it himself. The story would come out anyways. Same in Canada when it comes to reporting of gunshot wounds. The timelines are odd, including the non-statement from his office. It leaves him open to speculation, which is what is happening. He could have done himself a favour.....

No. The bigger issue is how long it took for the police to interview Cheney. 14 hours. That's how he was treated differently than an ordinary citizen.
