Amazon 7 #126 February 17, 2006 QuoteExcept none of the current admin. went around expounding the fact they were in Vietnam ad nauseam Too bad that the people who did serve like John McCain or Jack Murtha and John Kerry were denigrated by people like you and Rove et al......By all means why dont you tell us about your exploits in the jungle. SpeedRacer 1 #131 February 17, 2006 I just wanna say here: If you've read my posts you know that I'm no fan of the current adminstration. But this incident has nothing to do with that. Dick Cheney made a big & dumb mistake. But have you ever made a big mistake in your life? If you haven't you've been lucky. So far. Regardless of politics, the fact is we are all in need of forgiveness sometime. You may make some big fuck-up at some point in your life too. Maybe not like this one, maybe something else, but don't be so sure of yourself that you won't fuck up just as bad. The difference with Dick Cheney is that his big mistakes are in the spotlight for all the world to see. Nevermind the politics, let's be human beings about this: On this issue I think we should cut him some slack. I'm sure the guy feels bad enough as it is. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Let's not bust Dick's balls. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

Amazon 7 #133 February 17, 2006 There IS no forgiveness.. its not in thier nature to forgive and forget.. the polarization is such that the left wants to vilify Cheney... the right wants to vilify Kennedy.. Kerry.. Murtha..The manchurian candidate.. uh I mean McCain.... Most of them have never had anything traumatic happen to them....... like driving off a bridge in the dark.. barely surviving and being in shock... or having a few drinks at lunch when they are on medication.its call drug interactions.. and are under the influence when hunting with others. Till they can walk in the shoes of others.. they will never know... oh and since most of the right prefess to be such GOOD Christians.. its amazing they are so daming of others and lacking in the forgiveness they want others to extend to them.
