GTAVercetti 0 #101 February 8, 2006 Quote LOL! Oh, it's like the word "nigger/nigga" -- it's okay when they say it, but not if anyone else does. Gay people refer to themselves as "queer," in an activist sense, all the time! But now a "breeder" (their derogatory (?!) term for us) says it and it's a "hate word," eh? - Dude, I honestly don't care what words people use to describe anyone...it all depends on CONTEXT. The context was not "oh, those lovable queers". The context was a deragatory manner. I also think similar ideas about 'nigga' but I have enough common sense to know that not everyone is at that point yet. Plus, I think it is a dumb word and I sound like a 12 year old using it. And though I highlighted that part of the quote, the more important part was not: the part about 'maybe the guy with the hatchet had a point.' A poor attempt at a joke. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
TomAiello 26 #102 February 8, 2006 All (just replying to the last post); Please remember that discussions about issues ought to focus on the issues, not the other people having the discussions. Criticizing other people's grammar, posting history, sexual orientation, or choices about where to live is not discussing the issue. If you find yourself making a post about a person, rather than about the issue, I encourage you to refrain. Let's move on.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
