He's basically saying that God killed them because: The US (and Canada, and Sweden, the UK, et al..) are "too tolerant of homsexuals"... and in his fucked up religion, that includes "F*g Enablers", which apparently covers anyone else not of his mindset. Apparently some Washburn University student's pipe-bomb about 10 years ago (apparently an oversized M-100) exploded on a driveway near his church, causing minor sheet-metal damage to a van. He therefore claims thousands dead from Iraqi IED attacks as divine vengance/retribution. He's also claimed personal divine vengance for the Columbia Shuttle disaster, the miner mishaps, and the death of most every public figure, saying they're in hell for not using their celebrity status as a bully pulpit to advocate making homosexuality a capital crime. His pickets of funerals and memorial services basically amount to his family (90% of his church are family members) baiting others, trying to get others to give them a reason to file an income-generating lawsuit, as most of them are tort-happy lawyers. As a Veteran, I really want to beat this old shit into a drooling permanent-vegetative-state pulp, but then it occurs to me that this is the biggest acid test of the 1st Amendment since Larry Flynt... He is planning on coming to Ft. Campbell for this months monthly service and wants to picket at the main gate. What he doesn't know is the citizens around Ft. Campbell can't drive worth a damn and he will get killed by some one who doesn't even know his politics. There is a point I think even our fore fathers would say the "freedom of speach" has been pushed to far. Then they sue & make $$$$. Think about it: What else would they be accomplishing by their "demonstations?" Usually protesters are trying to get a law passed, or change a certain policy or something.
