Interesting Quote

Recommended Posts

"There is nothing patriotic about hating your country, or pretending that you can love your country but despise your government. There is nothing heroic about turning your back on America, or ignoring your own responsibilities."

Bill Clinton, May 5, 1995

no reason, just thought it would spur some interesting discussion, as well as internal conflict within some members here

Edit: here's another one

"The leaders of states who would use terrorist means against us, as well as those who would consider using in one way or another weapons of mass destruction, must understand that they would lay themselves open to a firm and adapted response on our part,"

Jack "The Cowboy" Chirac

PS - "She's not interested in running for office. She's interested in literacy." GWB (those damn illiterate Senators - another slam against the "plantation" that backfired on GWB as another poorly thought out and constructed sentence.)

I love the US and the inherent genius behind its system of government. At the same time I also despise the manner in which the mechanisms of that government have been manipulated by some. I perceive no inconsistency here.

Chirac can speak to his own audience. France itself is a lovely place to visit and there is much I can learn from many French people …

For cripes sakes, people. This sophomoric piece of crap thread doesn't matter.

What matters is HOW CAN WE SAVE ALEXCROWLEY from a slow and painful death?

I can't even look, it hurts too much

At least he didn't say "cleansing"

Oh the infamy. But at least there were some good ideas in the thread :). Not to mention no one would be scared by his icon now, although a kitty-cat would be less threatening

I don't think it's possible. Alex doesn't have the patience to do the current Bonfire gig on his own. He must've swallowed a whole bottle of ADHD meds.

I think he needs his stomach pumped. :|

Thank goodness it's not the first time I've had a sigline, or I'd owe beer for AC

I just poured out some Boone's Farm for AC.

And then I slapped the ever living Christ out of myself for even holding a bottle of boone's Farm. I think it is what AC would have wanted. [:/]:(

What's the context of the Clinton quote?

I dunno. Chocolate production quotas? People here throw out quotes out of context all the time here. It's the 'cool' thing to do.

I'm having some internal conflict at this very moment, I first thought I was reading a quote from Rush Limbaugh.

So it is true that even Bill is a Ditto Head, a true sign of someone who has a thrist thrift for the truth.:S

There -- I've corrected it for you.
