AlexCrowley 0 #1 January 10, 2006 I was wondering about this particular word, but it holds true for language in general. Gay used to mean happy and carefree. Gay was appropriated/hijacked by the homosexual community as part of their MILITANT GAY HOMOSEXSHUAL AGENDA! Gay is also used as something retarded, stupid - a basic insult. As most know, I am about as gay friendly as is possible without being into homosexual acts of gayness. However, I like to use the word gay in it's third definition here. I like to call Micro gay. When he has ideas he posts I like to call his ideas gay. When he's getting banged up the ass I like to call him gay ...never mind. But in general I dont see how def 1 has anything in common with def 2, so why should def 3 not co-exist with def 1 and 2? Because of the environment I exist in the GAY HOMOSEXSHUALS have grown used to my ability to conjugate the verb GAY among all three definitions, and applaud my creativity. It's time to take back a third of GAY for our own retarded usage!! And remember: Never trust a gay man that gets fashion advice from me. Ever. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

labrys 0 #12 January 10, 2006 Awww......shaddup. Nobody highjacked the word "gay" The use of the word in modern culture started as a shortened version of the slang word "geycat" as long ago as the late 1800's The was no MILITANT HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA back then. labrys 0 #19 January 10, 2006 QuoteNow, back to the point of the thread. Can we please have Gay too? you seem to be the spokesperson for gay usage. Oh Well... my answer was intended to sound light-hearted. I guess I didn't use enough smileys. Spokesperson? Hell, no. It's not my turn yet. You are welcome to have the word. It wasn't appropriated, you gave it away. The term geycat was bastardized into "gay" by straight folk. Feel free to try to educate everyone. Write to your representives. Or better yet..petition for a constitutional amendment defining "gay" as a happy heterosexual.. Owned by Remi #?
AlexCrowley 0 #20 January 10, 2006 well, my original plan was to call micro gay a great deal, but then he does homosexual things so that would cause confusion. I must wait for someone else to be gay, and then jump on them.....except that sounds a bit gay. I may not have thought this through clearly. Muenkel 0 #23 January 11, 2006 I believe the MILITANT HOMOSEXSHUAL GAY AGENDA beat the happy people in the war over the use of the word 'gay' decades ago. For as long as I can remember, HOMOSEXSHUALS were always called 'gay'. Are happy homosexuals gay gays or happy gays? Do you think the happy people can regain ownership of the word 'gay'? While we're on the subject, I think the MILITANT HOMOSEXSHUAL GAY AGENDA also stole the word 'queer'. They stole it from the weird or strange people many decades ago. Maybe that's what the MILITANT HOMOSEXSHUAL GAY AGENDA is, to take over the English language.
