diablopilot 2 #28 December 28, 2005 Quote QuoteJust a short article, but I have even more respect for him. "Morgan Freeman says in an interview with “60 Minutes” that there is no "white history month," and says the only way to get rid of racism is to "stop talking about it." How true. Be safe Ed Sad fact is, those that survive and profit from "Racial Activism" will label him a "Tom". Shame, he's brilliant, in more ways than one.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

peacefuljeffrey 0 #32 January 4, 2006 QuoteIt's such a difficult problem. We give a lot of lip service to racism (and sexism and all the other -isms) that is really superficial, imho. And I've tried to teach my son not to make judgments about people based on appearance, whether that be color of skin, what car they come to school in, what clothes they wear and so on. I've always disagreed that there is nothing to be learned from the appearance and demeanor that someone puts forth to you. That is not to say that you can just hear about a person, hear that he's black, and then say that you know what to expect of him. But when you SEE a person's appearance and demeanor, you can tell plenty about him, especially if your skills at doing so are honed; police do this all the time, I'm sure. -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... dorbie 0 #34 January 4, 2006 MIKE WALLACE, CBS`s "60 MINUTES": Black History Month MORGAN FREEMAN, ACTOR: Ridiculous. WALLACE: Why? FREEMAN: You`re going to relegate my history to a month? WALLACE: Come on. FREEMAN: What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on, tell me. WALLACE: I`m Jewish. FREEMAN: OK. Which month is Jewish History Month? WALLACE: There isn`t one. FREEMAN: Why not? Do you want one? WALLACE: No, no. FREEMAN: I don`t either. I don`t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history. WALLACE: How are we going to get rid of racism until...? FREEMAN: Stop talking about it. I`m going to stop calling you a white man. And I`m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You`re not going to say, "I know this white guy named Mike Wallace." Hear what I`m saying?
