Yes I know that it would be more accurate to just take out the word "school", but cut me some slack here. We love and respect women and whether it's in fashion or not, we have a tendency to try and watch out for women in just about any situation and it can sometimes seem a bit ridiculous and overboard. Whether you like it or not, or want it or not, we're trying to watch your back. And yes, I know this is a perfect setup for a response that we watch your back just to see your lovely ass, but you know what I'm talking about. It sometimes takes the form of intruding and/or being over-protective. I'll plead guilty to doing that sometimes and I'm sure John will too. When that happens, just let us know and we'll back off. Maybe not right away, but we'll back off. We know women can take care of themselves and it is their right and responsibility to do so, but we are the way we are. It was part of what I needed to do as the official mom. The argument "But they were offering a Tshirt!" held no sway .
