Michele 1 #2 December 22, 2005 I couldn't get the clicky to work. If, however, you are talking about the terrorist who was released after a few years from his "life sentence" then I agree - it's a big "fuck you" to the US...and does not bode well. I watched an interview with the SEAL's brother yesterday, and he and his family are hurting badly...and I can't say I blame them. I don't understand why they released him...he was "LWOP'd", after all...and from what I heard, he's already left the country and gone back to the ME. I don't think we'll be able to extradite him to stand trial here, though. Sucks. (BTW, if this isn't about the SEAL, ignore my post...) akarunway 1 #3 December 22, 2005 Can't the CIA or the NSA or the other SECRET SERVICE agencies of the USA or whomever just go get him and take him out to one of those secret bases for torture that we really don't have anywhere?I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. Amazon 7 #5 December 22, 2005 This will be a lot more common in the future Vinnie. We had everyone on board with us when we went after Afghanistan to get the people who attacked us.. but now with our little neo con adventure in Iraq we will get very little support in the world. Most of the world is no longer with us.. just look at the responses of SOO many of our fellow skydivers from around the world right here on this site. Go ahead.. say fuck the world.... I guess they are just fucking back a little.

Clicky I would compare it to the big "fuck you" our friends the U.S are doing when commiting illegal activities over European airspace. See, Either there is cooperation or there is not. You cannot have it both ways when it suits you.

JohnnyD 0 #11 December 22, 2005 Thanks. Bummer that they let him out. Maybe we will still grab him, but we are awfully thin about now. Can't help thinking that this would not have turned out this way 5 years ago. Edit: Maybe someone from Germany can put this into context for us? I know that in America the guy would never see the light of day again, so the release would be very unusual. Is this an unusual thing in Germany?
