The Democratic Position on Iraq

He had to go to boot camp, and get trained. Serving is that, you are asked to do certain tasks and you do them. You are proud of your service, and so is GWB, who got a honorable discharge, and allowed to his military record to be opened to the anyone. You of all people would understand that the military is a joint effort, with some in combat, and others on the background helping each other out

Things that make you go HMMMMMMM

So let me get this right.. THIS is honorable service??

Notice I have used an approved right wing news source the Spokesman review in Spokane WA, God forbid I should use CBS or any other non approved news source.

http://www.spokesmanreview.com/breaking-news-story.asp?submitDate=200431401040

Bush's military records from that period are spotty, and have led some to suggest he was avoiding his Guard obligations.

The Boston Globe, on the forefront of the issue, reported Feb. 12 that Bush's acknowledged 1972 suspension from flight status for failing to take a required physical should have generated an investigation and subsequent trail of documents, which have not been found.

To address critics, the White House released Bush's military records in mid-February, asserting he left his Texas Air National Guard squadron two years before the end of his enlistment because he was no longer needed to fly jets.

But if the human reliability rules were invoked, as they were in thousands of other cases, Bush may not have voluntarily stopped flying.

In April 1972, at the same time the military began drug and alcohol testing for the first time, Bush stopped flying the F-102, and according to White House documents, did not take a required physical in May. He was formally suspended in September 1972 for failing to take the test. What followed was a period in which Bush sporadically attended Guard drills, according to White House documents, and spent the summer in Alabama.

‘‘Failure to accomplish” the medical exam ‘‘can imply that Bush did not show up, or he was examined, and a foreign substance was discovered in his blood,” Moore argues in his book.

When pressed by the national media during the 2000 presidential campaign, Bush said he quit drinking in 1986 and hadn't used any illegal drugs since 1974.

Me thinks Georgie boy got busted in the goldenflow test but because of his family NOTHING got put into his records.

Honorable???

Maybe in the Argentinian Air Force that would be considered to be a good record.
Dayum good thing our military expects more, like BEING there when you are ordered to.

Amazon once swore never again to post in SC. When I called her on breaking that promise, she commented that "someone else" made her come back and resume posting. Isn't that special?

Ok... I got it..

I came back because it pisses you and several other Ultra Righties off so much:ph34r:

I love the personal attacks you try to hurl at me.

I love all of your unquestioning unreasoning support for GWB and all of his policies and all of your and his administrations fake patriotism.

The only people that "piss me off" here are the new crop of self-humoring goons who hit the reply button on just about every post just because they can. It's made for poor reading lately.

Your posts, on the other hand, are much like viewing a carnival side show -- occasionally entertaining but never connected to anything real.

I don't know why you're addressing this to me, because it doesn't fit. Ramble on.

From countryjoe.com:
clicky

hey, how come Republicans never come up with stuff like this?;):D

Hillary's song played to the beat of Eagles lyin' eyes:

City girls just seem to find out early
How to open doors with just a lie
A rich old Democrat
And she won't have to worry
She'll promise him the moon and go in style

Late at night a big old house gets lonely
I guess ev'ry form of refuge has its price
And it breaks her heart to think her liberalism is
Only given to voters with hands as cold as ice

So she tells supporters she must go out for the evening
To comfort an old friend who's feelin' down
But voters knows where she's goin' as she's leavin'
She is headed for the cheatin' side of town

You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin eyes

On the other side of town a liberal is waiting
with fiery eyes and dreams no one could understand
She drives on through the nice anticipating
'Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel

She rushes to his arms,
They fall together
She whispers that it's only for awhile
She swears that once she is elected she'll be comin' back forever
She pulls away and leaves him with a smile

You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide you lyin' eyes

She gets up and pours herself a strong one
And stares out at the stars up in the sky
Another night, it's gonna be a long one
She draws the shade and hangs her head to cry

She wonders how it ever got this crazy
She thinks about socialist medicare and the votes she could win
Did she get tired or did she just get lazy?
She's so far gone she feels just like a fool

My, oh my, you sure know how to arrange things
You set it up so well, so carefully
Ain't it funny how your new life didn't change things
You're still the same old girl you used to be

You can't hide your lyin eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes
There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes
Honey, you can't hide your lyin' eyes

You have no plan! Just complaints. I see....

Just like Korea, Germany, and Japan - we will be there for years.

:S

Why should he have a plan? He's not President or SecDef, nor AFAIK planning to run for such office.

Victory against this enemy comes in small, nearly unnoticable peices. When things like 70% of a population vote in an election where they choose the victor. When a person from that country risks his/her life to come tell the American forces where a very large stash of munitions is. (as just happened) When that countries military starts to step up and take control of thier own country so our men and woman can start coming home. When informants feel enough trust in the forces there to find away to get information about an insurgent location. When areas of that country are stable enough to see a growing economy. When 3000 schools have been built or rebuilt. When our wounded tell us during recouperation that they want to get healed up and get back to thier units because they want to finish what they see as a great mission. When a population works for the first time to try and find a way that is inclusive to all in that country. When the days comes that our generals are no longer running the show and that countries leaders offers us a place in the country for a base.

I could go on......

Thank you.
You are right the media will not show the successes, they don’t sell papers or rate for time on the air. If they do mention it, it is mentioned as a small blurb and that is it. We know how bias the media is, the beheading of an American maybe aired once or twice, but how many times have they shown the same photo of the Abu Grab prison. Unfortunately even though we all know our media is all about sensationalizing everything, people still thinks the media is unbiased and they never take anything out of context. There is progress happening here.

Ah... but let us not forget that the Liberal Media and many in the US Senate are vested in an American Defeat.

I hope Santa was good to you this year, Mrs. Santa was very good to me Hehehehe:)

I will not forget.

I am still looking for the outrage (from the media) over the leaking of information of a classified program. They went nuts over a non issue regarding Plame:S

if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

They also ignored the non-sentence given to Sandy Berger over his 'lapse of judgement'. The leaker of the NSA information should be tried & excuted.

:S

Why should "they" make a fuss when you are making enough fuss for 10 of them.

However, Berger was prosecuted and plea-bargained by the Justice Department, whose head, the AG, is a Republican who reports to George W. Bush. So why don't you direct your venom against them? They do have a tendency to think they have license to break the nation's laws.

I am irked with the prosecutor and the judge who accepted the deal. I am far more irked at the hypocrites who screamed and moaned about the damage done to national security by the Plame non-leak who are silent about the NSA and Berger issues. More irked still by the obvious media bias in reporting the three issues.

Well, we're still awaiting the outing of the Plame affair traitor, and the White House clearly has something to cover up. And apparently Bush's DoJ had something to cover up in re Berger or there would have been no bargain there.

Big Brother IS watching you.

Start getting irked with the Defence Attorneys who are preparing to make a case using the NSA as an excuse to get their clients off.

As I've mentioned the Left is not concerned with victory nor are they concerned with protecting our nation from attack. They are however obcessed with getting power back and using the NSA Domestic surveillance issue to weaken the Republicans in the Mid Term Elections.

Nothing more than a bunch of cheese eating weasel rats. Thats why they cannot be trusted with protecting our Nation from our enemies i.e. selling and transfering missle technology to the Chinese as well as giving aide and confort to our enemies.>:(

Things that make you go HMMMMM

Its called the Military Industrial Comples that Pres Eisenhower warned us about at the end of his administration. All politicians are put in the positon of doing business even with some of the more unsavory types because its good for business.
http://www.worldpolicy.org/projects/arms/reports/PRWaW052505.html

Can you say Ronnie Raygun
Billions of U.S. arms sales to Afghanistan in the 1980s ended up empowering Islamic fundamentalist fighters across the globe," notes report co-author William D. Hartung. "Our current policy of arming unstable regimes could have similarly disastrous consequences, with U.S.-supplied weapons falling into the hands of terrorists, insurgents, or hostile governments."

Bushies doing pretty good with this too.

When countries designated by the State Department’s Human Rights Report to have poor human rights records or serious patterns of abuse are factored in, 20 of the top 25 U.S. arms clients in the developing world in 2003 -- a full 80% -- were either undemocratic regimes or governments with records of major human rights abuses.

I would agree had Plame been outed. But she wasn't and you don't care to accept that. Too much political ammo I guess:S
