Have to have an event happen before you can measure time from it/to it.

AlexCrowley 0 #53 December 21, 2005 um. Ok. I wasnt trying to be evasive. Like Billv said: surprisingly no one was sat there watching the clock for the big turnover to AD. As for using your label. trust me, if it was 7 past a hairy homo I'd use that term simply to have a common point of reference. But you do make me smile Bill C. And I thank you for that. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

chuteless 1 #55 December 22, 2005 You are part right, and if I implied that before Christ was born, people were referring to those years as B.C., they were not. Christ was born in the year of the world 3760, and that is the calendar that was used at that time. It began 244 yrs after the creation of Adam and Eve. At this point in time (2005) is is 5766 by the world year, but everyone buIsrael uses the Gregorian calendar, and marks all time as B.C. and A.D. China has its own calendar, and this year 2005 is the year 4703. Bill Cole
