Militant Homosexual Agenda

Recommended Posts

Whoa, whoa there buddy. When you get done with the labeling and name calling, it would be oh so nice if you noticed that he said NEVER go to Harlem. I probably would not go at night either.

The nitpick was over the absolute avoidance of it. About being just scared instead of cautious.

Why don't you make up that witty anecdote? Seems like you are already good at putting word in my mouth Keep going. It keeps my day interesting.
Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.

The point was to be aware of one's circumstances and surroundings.

No, that wasn't the point. That was never the point.

You didn't merely hijack the thread, you twisted the meaning and purpose of the the thread, and now you're trying to obfuscate the real issue again.

It is not a "Militant Homosexual Agenda" to demand to be safe on the streets.

No, I didn't. Please see above.

But even though I have the "right" to do so, I won't venture into Watts or Harlem under any circumstances. That has to do with self-preservation - I know better.

Let's ignore the stupidity of claiming that dead people are responsible for their attackers committing murder.

Do you still skydive - an activity that kills 1 in 1000 EVERY year? That's far more dangerous than going into Watts or Harlem. Feel free to try to disprove this, but good luck.

Yes you did. And no I will not.

There is no "Militant Homosexual Agenda" but I do see another agenda entirely. And because most of it is predicated on fallacies and lies, I can't even argue it because it's so twisted and illogical.

It's a very hypnotic and seductive path, because what people who aren't paying attention will often do is just go on along the way they are led. That's why it's called manipulation. But to someone who has been paying attention, you're so far off course now that it is not the same discussion. That's fine in a certain kind of thread. But that kind of thread is not this thread.

Why don't you go start your own thread? Preferably on the other side of the internet.

I used work traveling all across the entire NYC area. On many occasions I had to work in the middle of the night. I was lucky enough never to have been stabbed or Robbed, but many people I came in contact with were not as lucky. I can't begin to tell you how many times, I saw liberal thinking white boy's like yourself mugged, stabbed or beat up. Got to the point that don't feel sorry for them.

Oh really? Try to give us an estimate as to how many times. I ask because I've been living in NYC for 11 years now and I hang out at jazz clubs in Harlem frequently. For one of those years I actually lived in Harlem. NOT ONCE have I had a bad experience.

Quote

Go ahead and try tell us some anecdote about what a great experience you had in the hood.

When I did live in Harlem that year, some people in the neighborhood and their families that I got to know greeted me by my name when they saw me. In no other neighborhood in Manhattan have I had that experience.

Being a stupid liberal has it draw backs.

I think being a stupid redneck has even more drawbacks.

Fearing people because they're different from you and projecting your stereotypes is a form of disrespect that might egg on a good mugging. I think you need to get over your fear -- sounds like you're full of it. Next time you visit NYC, take a nice long walk through Harlem at night -- no pickup truck, no hummer, no guns. You'll see it's really not that bad at all.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Thats funny I guess living the first 25 years of my life in NYC makes me a redneck.

Different people act different ways and different groups have different characteristics that they tend to. To think otherwise is stupid because there is too much evidence in plain view.

I think you need to rethink that. I have worked at all hours all through the worst areas in the NYC area. Incase you didn't notice the poster I was responding to said that he would stay away from Harlem in the middle of the night so you can redirect that response that way.

sounds like you're full of it.

no it sounds like you're full of it and living in a fantasy world. But its ok have fun there.

I think my previous responses prove that there is only one thing left to say about your post.

I wouldn't say it disqualifies you from being one in light of what you write.

Who could argue with that? But contrary to what you might think or what your experiences have been, I don't think groups in Harlem tend to mugging me or others who are not like them. Call that naive or stupid, but my experiences in Harlem are no worse than they have been further downtown. I'll still keep going to Harlem when I like.

Don't take my quote out of context. I meant that you sound full of fear from what you're saying about Harlem.

Whatever your experiences were, NYC has changed quite a bit. Maybe you have some crappy memories of it but you should note that NYC has one of the lowest crime rates of big cities in the states and there's heaps of fun to be had here.

You tell that 'stupid redneck' what it's all about.

For the sake of not stereotyping people and calling them terrible names - Educate that 'stupid redneck'.

How are these 'stupid rednecks' supposed to understand that bias and generalizations are wrong? I just wish the 'stupid rednecks' would figure this out.

Odd, I always took your categorical references to liberals as humor or hyperbole. Was I mistaken, or do you not also extend the same benefit of the doubt to Mr. Blaster?

And of course if I take the high ground by being a gentleman and responding with reason and not reciprocating with the namecalling then what I write gets glossed over and I get labeled a pansy liberal.

I'll take you implying that I'm a hypocrite over that any day.
