tbrown 26 #1 December 16, 2005 Just read a news report that the Iraqi cops have 'fessed up to having arrested - and released - al Zarqawi last year. Yeah and the Tooth Fairy gives good head..... What a fine bunch of allies we're training and arming. Our friends' son, who's serving his second tour in that garbage dump of a country, says they no sooner arm the Iraqi police than they use the weapons to shoot at American soldiers. They've shot at him and he hates them - all. Actually though, they're behaving just like our other fine allies in the war on terror, the Pakistanis. They've been taking our money and moving bin Laden from one safe house to another for over 4 years now. We will never get anywhere trying to "get along" with any of these people, they wouldn't know how to tell the truth if a camel kicked their brains out. My respect for the way Israel deals with these vermin grows by the day. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

At least they learn fast. ------------------------------------ Iraq police accused of torture By Richard Galpin BBC News, Baghdad Iraq's new police force is facing mounting allegations of systematic abuse and torture of people in detention, as well as allegations of extra-judicial killings. The minority Sunni community in particular claims it is being targeted by the Shia-dominated police force. The traumatised face of Dhai Adnan Saleh stares from the podium at the journalists and cameramen in front of him at a hastily convened news conference in Baghdad. . . . He describes the horror of the past 24 hours from memory - a memory which is certain to haunt him for the rest of his life. Dhai Adnan Saleh is both extremely lucky and extremely brave. He is one of very few survivors of a mass killing by police commandos and he has dared to speak publicly about what happened. "We were left from 5.30 that evening inside a kind of container that had no air vents. After one hour, we lost consciousness and some people began to die, the others were dead by one o'clock in the morning."

Part of the new "catch and release" program to ensure terrorists don't become extinct, else our administration won't have a way to justify it's actions. chuckbrown 0 #4 December 16, 2005 My first reaction was if they didn't know that it was Zarqawi when he was originally detained, how do they know now that it was actually him? I haven't heard Zarqawi say that he was caught and released. You'd think he would have said something about stupid infidels

They didn't learn that from us. That's the norm for them in their culture. We're saints with regard to humane treatment of prisoners compared to most in that region. Comparing any wrongdoings by our troops with what they're accustomed to demonstrates a clear misunderstanding of the realities involved. You're not going to get the real deal by just watching CNN in your living room here in the States.
