sixtysevengt5oo 0 #1 December 8, 2005 So if you've been watching the news recently you might have heard about the rising support for a fundamentalist group in Egypt during the current elections. The US had pressured Egypt to be more democratic and once they did the people began to support the new Party which is said to be fundamentalist, which the white house basically blames for all the terrorism, and the current egyptian president refused to allow the islamic undamentalists to vote. So what are we to do, pressure for democracy or back egypt and stop a new islamic fundamentalist state?

What I really love is how "persecuted" they are always claiming to be.. all the while "loving" all those sinners and not their sins... The American Taliban... already in a church near you. Attempts by a segment of society, ie the ACLU and Hollywood among others, to censure Christians. The more they attempt to remove Christianity from the public eye the more the Christian Fundamentalist Movement will grow. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." ReBirth 0 #6 December 8, 2005 I have to agree with that. And it's probably the fact that we've been giving up a lot of our democratic freedoms to both sides over the past 100 or so years, a little at a time.

So yes by not promoting democracy fendamentalism of all sorts will rise. Also i think that by sending a message here, that we want real democracy not just what is best for the US will send a stong signal to the rest of the world, that we are in it for everyone, not just ourselves. Frenchy68 0 #11 December 8, 2005 Pay attention! Liberal Hollywood has produced 2 California Governors, a US president, a NRA president, in order to push its agenda. In its crusade to censure Christians, it then released "The passion of Christ". Where will it stop??? Frenchy68 0 #17 December 8, 2005 Good for him, and glad he was able to do so. I'm just tired of the overly used line of "Hollywood liberal" agenda thingie. Not directed at you. Mostly at the people who have never worked (or ever been) in Hollywood and find it witty to throw statements that are mostly unfounded. SpeedRacer 1 #20 December 8, 2005 1) clean up the mess in Iraq as best we can. 2) Dump hash oil into the reservoirs long enough to secure peace between the Israelis & Palestinians & get a Palestinian state. 3) Get the fuck out of the Middle East & let 'em run their own affairs. If they still want to hate us so much, they can just refuse to sell us oil, and we shouldn't try to make them. Fuck Middle Eastern oil. It just isn't worth it. Let 'em sit in the desert & pound sand up their asses. wow, that all sounded like one of my drunk posts. ....can you tell I've had a rough day at work?
