captain1 0 #1 November 20, 2005 The game almost ran out of light. Why do such storied programs not spend a little bit of money to add stadium lights just in case the game goes triple overtime?

kelpdiver 2 #4 November 20, 2005 Even Cal doesn't have permament lighting. Part of the deal with the community is not to build perm fixtures that would, in their minds, inevitably lead to a lot of night events. So for the late scheduled games, they bring in the temp lights. It's possible, but unlikely, that a 12:30 game could run over 4 hours and get close to sunset, which might be as early as 4:50. But not lately, as we're a running team. Today's game only went 3:10.
