steve1 5 #1 November 14, 2005 I just read a recent article in the news about a church in the Kalispell area (near Lost Prairie). I guess everyone there wears the latest cowboy regallia, and nobody takes their hats off during services. To tell you the truth I doubt if there are many "true" cowboys there. But at any rate they baptize folks in an old water trough. Once they dunk them under everyone cuts loose with a loud "YeeeHaw" or "Yahoo" or just a plain ole "Yipeee". What do you think? I guess it isn't much different than what I saw in Catholic school growing up. I think I'm going to go home and hide my straw and felt cowboy hats and pairs of western boots.....Steve1

I had a friend named, Billy, who had this issue with his HGH production's going to the shitter when he was 11. At the age of 29, he could still pass for a 5th grader. Pondering how to make good of his plight, I suddenly realized the cashcow potential this kid (note, way older than me) had: BillysBoots.com. Galleries and videos of his adventures, gallavanting in nothing but his cowboy boots. Plus interactive webcam. And maybe a hat. He didn't seem to take well the idea. Something about aversion to exploitation.
AggieDave 6 #3 November 15, 2005 A good number of modern real-life cowboys went to the church I grew up going to. The were always in something nice (usually some sort of western suit or similar) and their hats were always off once they walked into the church. For them it was respect for their god, not trying to perpetuate some sort of wanna-be's idea of an image.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
