Gawain 0 #1 November 14, 2005 Mexico is demanding a formal apology to some words expressed by Chavez. Again, I'm posting a link to an AP article listed on Fox News....be ready now.... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,175488,00.html On a separate note, people do understand how to read a "by-line" in a published news article right? They can appear in multiple ways, but the two most common are as follows: Title of Article Here Date Associated Press - or by-line of author or news org. CITY - News information, summary, article.... ---OR--- Title of Article Here Date CITY (AP) - News information, summary, article.... Now, if you see, AP, or Associated Press, that means the host site is reprinting, in entirety a prepared article, as part of a service that they subscribe to. If the host site, or news org adds, or contributes anything to it, the by-line changes to that news orgs name (Fox News, CNN, etc.) with contributing credits sometimes listed at the end of the article. Just an FYI from a former News Director as a small podunk-radio-station in Vermont, once upon a time.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Trent 0 #2 November 14, 2005 Good. More central and south american countries need to step up to this shithead. The guy is nuts, thinks he's Simon Bolivar reincarnated... with a hint of Jesus in there. If the region and the Venezuelans don't deal with him, it's almost guaranteed that he'll become another Cuba... maybe a little more insane because he also thinks he can take over the world.Oh, hello again! Trent 0 #4 November 14, 2005 ... and Mexico and Venezuela have "severed" ties. I won't post a link because it's on CNN. Good for Mexico to stand up to this jackoff, but without support... it'll probably just fade away. Here's a good article that one of my Venezuelan friends gave me today. Quote Stop the presses: yet another demagogue who claims to be acting in the best interest of his people is in fact ensuring their continued deprivation and economic irrelevance in the global economy. This time, it's Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, whose efforts last week to torpedo a Free Trade Area of the Americas will go along way toward guaranteeing that the technology diaspora that is slowly lifting country's like India and China will bypass Venezuela ! and other nations in Latin America. Last week, Chavez, accompanied for some reason by Diego Maradona, the world's second most famous cocaine addict next to Kate Moss, chastised President Bush for even thinking about giving Venezuelans access to American-style jobs and prosperity, calling the free trade plan a pretext to "invade." Chavez believes his people will be better off if he forges closer trade ties with economic dynamos like--Bolivia and Cuba. Well, who are we to question, just because poverty has mushroomed in Venezuela during Chavez's tenure despite its having vast oil reserves at a time of sky high global energy prices. This is all too bad for the people of Venezuela, because there are a number of large, U.S. technology giants that would love to "invade" South America with good computer industry jobs. Managing an offshore operation in the same hemisphere should be a lot easier than managing one that's half way around the world. The problem is tha! t trade restrictions, lack of investment in key sectors, educational shortfalls and poor infrastructure--all of which could be greatly alleviated by the FTAA plan--has left the region lagging behind other areas as a potential outsourcing destination. Mr. Chavez, the people of India and China thank you. Paul McDougall paulmcd@cmp.com informationweek.outsourcingpipeline.com Oh, hello again!

I hope the US takes note of this and perhaps we can steer better economies of scale and use NAFTA as a better tool.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
