ReBirth 0 #51 November 8, 2005 Well...now if some nut job kills the pres, his hand picked guy takes his place. If the vp was his opponent, gives nut jobs more incentive. The VP is pretty much powerless anyway. He's more of a diplomat than anything else. Or in the current administration, an underground bunker and tunnel inspector

rickjump1 0 #57 November 8, 2005 QuoteI recall reading (somewhere) that the original rules of the Presidential races was for the loser to end up as Vice President... that could make an interesting twist in politics if that rule was brought back, wouldn't it? No kidding. The parties would be a little more selective healthwise for the presidential ticket for sure. No more cheeseburgers. Amazon 7 #58 November 8, 2005 QuoteIt is a hell of a lot better than CBS. I did not know that you are the one that tell us which news sources are credible. And since you don't like newsmaxs position they are not credible?? Yeah I guess only APPROVED news sources are allowed. So when does the job with the new Information Ministry come thru. Have they hired a new Goebbels yet??? The more I see of the Right wing media and the love affair the White House has with them the more I think of Pravda... Amazon 7 #60 November 9, 2005 The Democrats are not the ones in power and hence out of the loop with the Information Ministry. The Whitehouse is so freakin paranoid of the press.. they will only listen to those who are favorable to them.. like the numerous plants to spout thier party line...that we have seen in the right wing Press who get paid to disseminate information from the White House.. oh and lets not forget the Gay Call Guy Apologist that the Press Secretary had an inordinate amount of time for...http://mediamatters.org/items/200502190003 Oh Lookie...http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/003674.php It now also turns out that Mr. Gannon somehow had in his possession an internal CIA memo that no one else in the media had, which identified Valerie Plame as a CIA operative. So is that how Rove did it, by using a fake news organization funded by a right wing nutcase, to out Plame and retaliate against Joe Wilson? This sorry episode, so soon after the propaganda debacle with Armstrong Williams among others, leads me to question what else is the White House doing to manufacture news and news coverage? It also makes me question what the hell was going on under the noses of the White House media pool day in and day out that not one of them asked just who the hell is Jeff Gannon and Talon News anyway. It’s easy to see now how the administration was able to push past the media a fake war rationale when the media clowns couldn’t even figure out the frauds in the room with them every stinking day. So by your way of definition, it is impossible for a party that is not in control of the White House to publish biased stories. Uh huh. Yeah, right. That sounds just as silly as the idea that it is impossible for some blacks to be racist. Okay, I'm off to look for a more intelligent discussion than that.
