Would you vote for GWB today?

Recommended Posts

I just had a very interesting conversation with a good friend. He just found out he's getting sent to Iraq for a second time. He's been home about nine months now, and he's just been told he has to go back. He voted for GWB in the last election, but he just spent half an hour ranting about "that moron in the white house" who "needs to stop wasting soldiers' lives on a hopeless war."

I was just curious how many other people have done such a 180 on the way they feel about GWB.

GWB made an ass out of himself and every american in the USA today. (He'll be lucky to leave without having his ass handed to him) I'm indeed sorry i voted for him for the third time today after seeing the footage from South America today. I need not embelish any further with the well informed.

Depends on who he is running against.

Without that, the polling is meaningless. I know national polls indicate Bush would lose, but we've seen countless times how inaccurate that is done outside of an actual election.

The respondents are in effect giving an up/down approval rating, which is very different from picking him or an unnamed Democrat. There's the real problem for both parties in 2008 - aren't many (any) decent contenders available. The unnamed candidate beats every one of them.

no shit.....my kingdom for a viable opposing candidate! [:/]

I'm with you on this one. I wouldn't vote for GWB again because I just think 2 terms is enough for any President. In Virginia, we only allow 1 6 year term for governor and we have the best managed state in the country. Let's hope all political partys put forward some good candidates this time around.

Oh yes, let's all climb on the bus with the 19 year old window smashing, looting dickheads of the world.

Lots of solutions offered from that sector . . .

I never mentioned anything about what you've mentioned here, your cracking wise, and it's not funny.

My whole point was that GWB knew in advance what his reception would be like days before arrival. How smart does the leader of the free world look now? I'm particulararilly upset that he would go there and make us all look like fools. He should have never went there given the relationship with Hugo Chavez. It's first grade math really. It's bad enough the people in third world countries hate us the way they do, this little trip didn't help. I've traveled the world, i've personally seen the way these people look at us, they absolutely hate us. One of the main reasons why is in South America now (GWB)

GWB is not capable of speaking the truth. Why? Because he can't, he's a career politican. He speaks of this new free trade of the America's pact that everyone must play within the preset rules, yet GWB and the good ole US of A is the first country ready and willing to violate the rules (case in point the softwood lumber impass where the US still owes Canada 5 billion dollars but refuses to pay it). And is there any wonder why some people don't wish to believe anything he says and why some people choose to riot because of this (I'm not saying those riots were good, as they weren't, but it's easy to understand why some people don't like the moron). When are the red states going to wake up to realize that they elected an idiot into the most powerful position in the world?

If Bush didn't attend the summit, he'd just be further accused of ignoring the economic needs of South America. From the eyes of the left (and the middle lately), he's screwed no matter what he does.

Can't disagree with that. Thanks to total mismangement of Iraq and the"war on terror", Bush has become a foul personification of U.S. hatred that's been building for many years.

What I've read about the FTAA is that 1) the US is offering compromises and options and trying to make it work, 2) Brazil won't commit to further talks, and 3) socialist Chavez is promising to bury the whole deal. How is any of that Bush's fault.

i really doubt that the president of the usa is the most powerful position in the world. the leader of china on the other hand is a different story.

just because power isn't used, it does not mean it is not there.

have you ever played risk? what usually happens to those that expend all thier soldiers for short term gain?

think of the big picture.

GWB again then. Badnarik hasn't the support to defeat Edwards and the thought of an Edwards presidency is abhorrent to me.

Now LIEbermann, despite his many failings, would probably elicit a vote from me for a Dem under certain conditions, none of which are likely to be met.
