Cheers, T ok, but what about for vandals who are "rehabbed" and want to be productive members of society? Not having opposable thumbs will be difficult, esp. when one of their greatest skills (i.e. art, painting, dexterity) requires thumbs... seems too extreme to me. Say 20 miles worth the first offence then escalate it if they re-offend. make sure they do it at a weekend or when they have their leasuire time. Each time they don't turn up for cleaning up duty then lock them up for a week. They will get the message eventually.
