A couple years ago I heard a call come in over the fire radio for a hanging in the woods on a near by farm. The caller saw the body from the interstate that runs along side the woods. At first I was a little alarmed because I'm pretty good friends with the people and they were having both family and financial trouble.

It turned out that it was a dummy hanging in a tree that was left from a haunted hayride the holloween before. No one had taken it down and apparently no one noticed it all winter.

That's a perfectly reasonable explanation.

It certainly would be a horrible realization, but I don't think anyone / society should be judged or blamed. This isn't a sign of the times and how de-sensitized we are. It was just some fucked-up/intentional timing and placement on the part of the deceased.
