GTAVercetti 0 #1 October 19, 2005 Saw the first episode. Pretty funny. Mock O'Reilly pompousness. Here is a quote from a a segment called The Word. The word was truthiness: “I don’t trust books. They’re all fact and no heart. And that’s exactly what’s pulling our country apart today. ‘Cause, face it, we’re a divided nation. Not between Democrats and Republicans or conservatives and liberals or tops and bottoms. No, we are divided between those who think with their heads and those who know with their hearts.” and yet Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. The brains bit is merely rationalization so the heartless bastards can live with themselves. ----------------------- "O brave new world that has such people in it". GTAVercetti 0 #4 October 19, 2005 Quote Quote "Any man under 30 who is not a liberal has no heart, and any man over 30 who is not a conservative has no brains." — Winston Churchill Good quote, but not applicable to the full rant from the show. Colbert went on to say how if anyone who thought about the Miers nomination would see plenty of problems, but those who FELT it would find it correct. They thn cut to the clip of Bush saying about Miers, "I know her heart, I know her character.". Colbert then refers to how Bushh ignores the brain of Harriet Miers for the heart. And churchhill was, I am certain, talking about the democrat and republican ideas of conservative and liberal. I am liberal and am certainly not a democrat. I would rather not conserve the government we have at the moment (all parts, not just this Administration). Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. I'm pretty sure he was probably talking about the British Conservative Party and the British Liberal Democrat Party actually.

And the conservative party in England is probably similar to what the Republican party in America is SUPPOSED to be. Although, I haven't a clue; maybe the conservative party in Britain is no longer conservative either? Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. The British Conservative Party (of which I was once a paid-up member) has come more and more to resemble this.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
