AlexCrowley 0 #26 October 5, 2005 Nice post. Many great replies too. For once I have nothing to add except that today was a good day to click on this thread. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

Trae 1 #28 October 7, 2005 Good on you for having your say and getting some discussion on this issue in this compassion burnt out modern world of ours. as a child I was led to believe my future would be full of extra leisure time due to the advent of the computer. This may be true relatively speaking. What I don't see is any major improvement in issues such as social justice, equality of opportunity, education based on merit and application rather than $$$$$. Also it would be heartening to see more adults stand up and stick up for those generally denigrated in our Go Faster society . I find it ironic that a lot od the conservationists ideas from the 1960's were ignored at the time but those same unadressed issues are now potentially threatening everything on this planet. If the hippies were right and the $$$$ worshipping raw material wasters wrong it doesn't matter ....we all get to pay for a few generations excesses. So my little good idea is to listen more carefully to people who you don't automatically agree with... they just may have your best interests at heart even if you don't recognise it as such. We're here for a good time as well as a long time . For me I'd prefer to fade away rather than burn out ...especially if there's nothing left to burn.
