Michele 1 #1 September 4, 2005 The Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, William H. Rehnquist, died today of thyroid cancer. He was 80 years old. He leaves a huge legacy, whether or not you agree with his rulings and positions. God Speed, Mr. Rehnquist. God Speed and blue skies. Bush now has a second seat to fill. I wonder who it will be. There will be enormous changes in the coming year. It shall be rather interesting to watch. Mockingbird 0 #4 September 4, 2005 A good constructionist Chief Justice. I wonder whom he would have chosen to replace him... Scalia maybe? Blessings on his family.Blue skies & happy jitters ~Mockingbird "Why is there something rather than nothing?"
Nightingale 0 #5 September 4, 2005 I met Scalia last week; he was visiting the area and decided he wanted to teach our constitutional law class. I think he'd make a good chief justice.
