Bush, 9-11 and Able Danger

1st , How many of you have heard of the military group code named Able Danger?

2nd, For those of you who WANT to blame Bush for 9-11.......What do you think?

I will not post reports/info here. Do a Google search for Able Danger and then respond.


As for me? This is something that is much more than Bush or Clinton or anybody else.

The 911 commission is covering information that should get a lot of people in a lot of trouble (at best)

If the Senate wants to put a blue ribbon commission together we better be able to trust the report.

IMHO they are protecting those in government just to protect them The media is their partners because they love government.

You do realize that the intel developed was based on data mining experiments like an early experimental version of the now shit-canned Total Information Awareness program, you remember, that project that was killed after all the political scaremongering. I saw some details on what that would actually have been, I'd categorize it as 'trying to be smart', but that's too alien a concept I guess, especially for politicians. Looks like there was nothing to fear, even when they found a terrorist and he's wasn't a citizen and was breaking the law in multiple ways and he had links to other terrorist cells they couldn't do a damned thing about it and the "rules" didn't let them share the analysis with anyone.

This for me really highlights how ridiculous all the sinister conspiracy theories are. All evidence points to the government being unable to find its ass with both hands and a copy of Gray's Anatomy.

TIA wasnt shitcanned.

It was renamed MATRIX and implemented at a state level, then all the states linked up their databases (or are in process to do so). At least thats what was reported in the technology press. Not sure how well the data integration is going.

Basically it's an easy system and most of the geeks on this board have messed around at a DB interface level. thats all this thing was (ok, it's a little complicated) basically you get all these disparate databases and write a 'translation' layer that allows for generic db-agnostic fields, once you have that you populate it with all the available data. Once you have that and all the info reconciles you have a usable system you can start using to profile.

Once youve got that running you turn on the networking feature and point it at a master hub or whatever node system you developed.

And you end run around the restriction on TIA and gain the same functionality.

TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
