SpeedRacer 1 #2 August 2, 2005 cool stuff! not sure why this needs to be posted in speakers corner. anyway, though, targeting folate receptors has been a very commonly used approach for cancer. You get more folate receptors on cells that are rapidly dividing, such as cancer cells. only problem is, lymphocytes can also be actively dividing as well, so you might be knocking some of those out too. which is why cancer patients who are being given anti-folate therapy often become immuno-compromised.
