bodypilot90 0 #1 June 29, 2005 QuoteIn response to Robert Redford's quotes in Canada's National Post about moving to Dublin, Ireland, if George W. Bush was reelected, Glenn Beck ran a full-page ad in the Provo Daily Herald, which was an open letter to Robert Redford. Beck and thousands of his listeners raised enough money to purchase two airline tickets for Redford to leave from Salt Lake City to Dublin on Dec. 6. If the actor doesn't claim the tickets, Beck will donate the money to the USO. QuoteBeck’s open letter reads: Dear Mr. Redford, It was recently reported in Canada’s National Post that you vowed to move to Ireland if George W. Bush won re-election. As you probably know, on November 2nd, George W. Bush was re-elected to the White House by a 51% to 48% margin. While we are very sorry to see you go, we wanted to make sure that small details (such as travel arrangements) weren’t keeping you here against your will. As much as we’ll miss high-quality films like "The Horse Whisperer," mega-blockbusters like "Spy Game," and instant classics like "Legal Eagles," we understand that you have to do what is right for you. Therefore, we have purchased 2 coach class tickets on United Airlines from Salt Lake City to Dublin, Ireland. Your flight leaves at 10:58am on Monday, December 6th. We trust that this will give you plenty of time to get your affairs in order, and that you will find the accommodations to your liking. We want you to know that thousands of Americans chipped in an average of $5.00 each to purchase the airline tickets for you, and to run this advertisement. If you were misquoted in the paper about your intent to leave the country, or if you choose to make your own travel arrangements, you may pass these tickets to one of your many Hollywood friends. To pick up the tickets, please contact us at me@glennbeck.com and we will arrange for the tickets to be sent to you. If you fail to contact us about these tickets, a donation will be made in your name to the USO, because we are sure that you support our troops and their mission to free millions in the Middle east. Sincerely, Your friends at The Glenn Beck Program I bet he'll never leave, if he does so much the better, I vote he takes Kerry with him http://www.radioink.com/headlineentry.asp?hid=125873&pt=inkheadlines
lawrocket 3 #2 June 29, 2005 Famous people threatening to move out has a fairly storied recent history. Recall Streisand and Baldwin and Basinger, Cher (there were several other) who all threatened to leave if Bush, Jr. won. I do thnik they left and out. If Bush, Jr. wins three presidential elections, then they'll leave. My wife is hotter than your wife.

jdfreefly 1 #5 June 29, 2005 I don't much care for radical liberal hollywood types. However, Glenn Beck is an evil turd on the shoe of humanity. I am a conservative, at least I used to be, so I am supposed to be a fan of people like Glenn Beck right?.....WRONG!!!! If I weren't so damn appathetic, I would start a campaign to get him removed from the airways here in Philadelphia. If he gets Redford to move to Ireland, I hope Glenn Beck goes with him. The country would certainly not miss either of them. Methane Freefly - got stink?

jdfreefly 1 #7 June 29, 2005 I was listening to his show one day and he was making light of the fact that the French military was having to call for reinforcements at the Ivory coast( I think that was where it was ). He was really laughing it up. He thought it was great. I am certainly not a French sympathizer. But you don't make light of people dying. Those people, whose deaths he was so joyfuly celebrating, are someones parents, brothers, sisters and loved ones. I used to think I got pissed off when people celebrated the deaths of our soldiers. Now I realize, I get pissed when people celebrate death. In that moment, I saw what he is. I have better things to do with my time then to spend it listening to a man who spreads hate.
