When all this started on Saturday, I sent a mod a pm asking them to review the posts. I expressed my opinion in the pm about these threads, and the mod agreed to review them.

He locked two, and left the other. His explanation for leaving it (not that I deserved one) was that it nominally discussed flag burning, and had some content because of that.

I am not green. I do not make those sorts of decisions around here. Whether I agree with his decision or not is moot; what matters is that these guys do their damnedest to make things civil, despite all attempts to do otherwise...

except for the post you put in there , there was no other valid discussion , that is until the others were locked. I agree on how it all happened, except that I dont feel that one good message on a thread is worth keeping one open. There had already been other posts about flag burning. Your post could have been moved there, but instead we got ours locked while hers stayed opened and we were all told to not respond in the one that was open.

However on the other hand he is a greenie and although I do not agree with his decsion it is his none the less. He made it and he defended why he made it, which is something he didnt have to do so I can at least respect it enough to not get to upset over the favortisim.

There was already a thread that discussed flag burning. In fact this was just a spin off of that thread with a PA thrown in.

Michele you are 100% correct in this, I find the whole thing stupid and I wish people would take attacks to PM.

Dude, K&N filters suck. Get a foam filter. They're cheaper, work better when dirty, and provide better flow.

I don't know of these foam filters? Who makes them? How much do they cost? Will they increase your MPG? If you could post a link that would be cool to learn about.

Ok, here are some thoughts:

First, from the Forum Rules:

Second, I try very hard to explain my actions to those whom they directly involve. You, Ron, are not one of those people in this case. I'm sorry, but it's just a fact that I don't have time to re-send every one of my moderation messages to you directly. In future, please be aware that I will not be copying you on these kinds of things, so that you may not be kept totally up to the minute. I apologize for that, but I think we're just going to have to accept it.

I locked the poll threads, and left the one open that had some other discussion. I did this for several reasons, including (a) I liked that other posters had side tracked a personal attack and subverted the thread into real discussion, (b) there were other people actually using the thread for discussion.

Ron, please confine your gripes to PM's. If you post another thread of this nature here, I will remove it and ban you from this forum.
