The independent Office of Communications responded to a single viewer complaint of the footage showing an in-fall collision that killed one skydiver and crippled another from the U.S. show When Good Times Go Bad. ITV argued numerous warnings were given in advance of the clip, and said the footage was relatively indistinct and inexplicit, the Guardian reported Tuesday. However, in its reprimand, the regulator noted how a spray of red was visible on impact, and pointed out what it described as the obvious distress of the cameraman.
