I just replaced a few words in an utterly bigoted and racist statement from Steel against Arabs/Muslims with America/Christians to demonstrate the point (that it was a ridiculous and insulting statement) and certain people do not even understand that. Sad really.

If you don't believe that there are Arabs who can make an objective assessment and see Islam for what it is, then you need read the thread on Muslims stop supporting Islam.

how do you figure that? Plenty of times I've heard white people, for example, make unfair ant-white statements, or Americans make anti-American statements. And you said this Arab was not a Muslim himself. I got news for you, people from different religions will sometimes slam one another, even if they belong to the same ethnic group. Look at the Muslim & Christian Nigerians, for example.
