I'll admit that the US tends to have a very US-centric view of the world (heck, many countries do -- taken a look recently?). However, what you posted isn't debate; the only substantive point in there is the one that terrorists don't do what they do out of insanity but instead because they don't have the same goals as Americans. Well, duh. Would that be a considered counterattack to your sharply-worded point? BTW -- what's the etymology of seppo? And what does calling names give you? "Seppo" is Australian rhyming slang for "American". It works like this: -- American, goes to... -- Yankee, goes to... -- Yank, goes to... -- Septic Tank, goes to... -- Seppo It is a word that can be used as a teasing term of endearment. It is more often used to single out the subject -- whether as a group or as an individual -- for ridicule and shame. Obviously, it is a badge I wear with pride and honor. Why Yank did not lead to some other rhyme deriving from shank, bank, flank, stank, lank, wank (ok, maybe not that), spank or dank... I am unsure. Why the coiner of this term chose to couple "Tank" with "Septic" rather than Fish, Sherman, Petrol or McNamara is an equal mystery. Perhaps it's something to do with Australia not having sewerage until the mid-seventies and of the stink of human waste just out the back row constantly on one’s mind. ---- Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
 eaglenrider 0 #33 May 25, 2005 Being a fire fighter I would personally like to see the towers back the way they were. Phil, considering the horrific numbers of firefighters lost on 9-11 I'm sure you want to get to the truth of what happened that day and who was behind it. Have you listened to the tapes of the firefighters transmissions or read the transcripts ? Have you researched the number 7 building collapse? (Actually it was "pulled" ) here is a link http://www.911fraud.blogspot.com/ I'd like to see the site of the WTC used as a gallows site and burial ground for those criminals who killed so many on that day . I believe the reminder to never trust the government would be the best way to honor the fallen firefighters who were betrayed on that day. Personally, I don't think I would want to have the architectural equivalent of an extended middle finger as a tomb stone for my grave - after all, the site is still a huge cemetery.
