fallingchip 0 #176 May 30, 2005 Do you jump or is your "PROFILE" bullshit? Seems to me you found this site by GOOGLE or something...I can't imagine anyone who jumps thinking something like this. That being said...I have a hard time believing that ANYONE (jumpers or not) would ever want to witness a burn in unless there is a mental problem involved.______________________________________________ "A radical man is a man with both feet firmly planted in the air." -Franklin Delano Roosevelt
UntamedDOG 0 #177 May 31, 2005 QuoteDo you jump or is your "PROFILE" bullshit? LOL! I was tempted to ask you the same question!! 4 years in the sport and 30 odd jumps? Is that 7.5 jumps per year? If nothing else, you really have the civic aspects of our sport nailed! Now get out there and jump!
happythoughts 0 #178 June 1, 2005 I have met people who claim to have college degrees, or bought them on the internet. I have met people who claim to have martial arts belts or scuba certifications. I think that it is pretty sad when people claim achievements that they didn't earn. There is someone out there who wishes that you'd take his license number off your profile. Just for the sake of having any integrity, why not do that?

Like the guy who showed up at my DZ claiming to have been a Navy Seal. His claim of jumping into the ocean with tanks (as in the Abrams kind) sort of gave it away. Blue2003 0 #180 June 1, 2005 I have to say that this thought is disturbing. I have been lucky enough to have found not only close friends at my DZ and others but also the love of my life. We don't talk about either of us going in but that doens't mean it does not cross our minds. mostly we end up on loads together and when we are not I watch every landing. I bring my kids to the DZ they understand that I could get hurt and I have. But my wish is that not only do I never see anyone I know or don't know go in, I would love it if some day we have fewer fatalities. I love this sport and treat it with the respect it demands. The sky is where I am the most peaceful and the most careful. Take a look inside and see why you even posted this thought. As much as it is upsetting if you really want to be a skydiver respected by others. Get some help."Cloudy Skies look different through skydivers eyes. Is that a hole in the clouds I see?" Today I decided to drive up to Perris to hang out and mingle. I was a bit nervous about my reputation after everything I had said online. I was impressed to find out that my opinions were very will received by the community. I didn’t get one ounce of negative feedback from anyone. A few people even approached me and congratulated me on such an eloquent thread. It seems that this thread has not affected my standing in the skydiving community at all. I’m quite relieved and look forward to doing some more jumps with you all soon!
