lawrocket 3 #1 April 29, 2005 I decided for shits and giggles to calculate how much in child support Britney Spears will be owing her unmarried partner, Kevin Fedeline if using California child support for 2005. Assumptions: 1. He makes 100k per year. She makes 30 million per year and takes child as her tax deduction. 2. He sees kid on Saturday and Sunday every other week. She's got custody otherwise. 3. He pays child support on two other kids of 3000 per month. Other assumptions and factors would weigh into this as well but I disregarded them. Assuming those factors to be true, what do you all think would happen? 1. he would owe her child support 2. She would owe him child support of a few hundred per month 3. She would owe him child support of a between 1000 and 5000 per month 4. She would owe between 5000 and 15000 per month 5. She would owe between 15000 and 30000 per month 6. She would owe over 30k per month. According to the figures I ran, she will pay him $27,334 per month in child support for those four days per month he spends with the kid. Interesting, eh? New assumption: the kid spends an addition six weeks with dad in the summer. Now he spends 25 percent of the year with the kid. Ms. SPears can say goodbye to $52,958 per month, payable to daddy until kid turns 19 or graduates from high school I think that cat managed to set himself up pretty good, eh? My wife is hotter than your wife.

Casurf1978 0 #5 April 29, 2005 Would a prenup have any impact on your calculations?
lawrocket 3 #6 April 29, 2005 QuoteWould a prenup have any impact on your calculations? Absolutely none whatsoever. You cannot make any agreement about child support that cannot be changed by the court. Of course there is no prenup since they aren't married. The "marriage" is a sham! Their agreement only states that they are not married, and he is not a "putative spouse," which means he cannot get support payments when then break up under quasi-marital property law. But child support? Yeah, he can get that... He can't lose it unless he loses his parental rights... My wife is hotter than your wife.
Nightingale 0 #7 April 30, 2005 I thought they were legally married. Britney said in an interview that they'd turned in the marriage license and all that.

He could still sue for palamoney I think even if they weren't married but together for a while. No way around it, you have money, you screw poor people, you pay when you break. They contractually agreed to participate in a "'faux' wedding." They each waived the right to claim that they were "putative spouses" which sets you up for palimony under Marvin v. Marvin (a case that involved actor Lee Marvin). THey NEVER got married. I'll see if I can find their "Agreement re: Wedding Ceremony." I think it said somewhere in the agreement about neither being able to get a Marriage license authenticated. Which means that both can get licenses but never legally married pursuant to Family Code section 425. My wife is hotter than your wife.

lawrocket 3 #14 May 1, 2005 I found it. The Smoking Gun was there. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0924042_britney_spears_1.html The parts of the agreement re: "putative spouse" are the Marvin arguments. Note that Marvin v. Marvin referred to actor Lee Marvin. It's a fun case to read. My wife is hotter than your wife.

Her husband stayed at home and raised their kids. She made $6m a year. On her show one day, someone asked her about alimony. She said, "He should get his lazy butt out there and find a job". None of the women in the audience were offended by the remark.
