There is something wrong when TV shows depicting rape, murder and torture are regularly shown on prime time TV, but a commercial depicting what is _really_ happening throughout the world is too violent for the tender sensibilities of americans. It makes me think we are really, really far out of touch with what's happening in the rest of the world.

And to think we criticize Al-Jazeera.

Not too hard to understand though. I personally have no problem watching fictional shows, such as action/thriller/ or horror movies, that show all kinds of gory violence. Mainly because I know its not real, even if I am genuinely into the movie & find it scary.

But a film of someone ACTUALLY getting killed, where I know it's real, is much more disturbing.

Agreed; but both the commercial and the Schwartzenegger shows are fiction.
