SC has turned into a silly place. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
kelel01 1 #28 April 1, 2005 I would like to see verifiable proof that SC has turned silly. And unless it's directly from the NRA, it means nothing.
craichead 0 #29 April 1, 2005 QuoteTuna's the fish (well, the meat) that's red in color! Yeah, damn red tuna meat! It flip-flops to brown in a few days! And did you know that suppliers often treat the tuna meat with carbon monoxide so that it stays red and only appears to be fresh? Tuna is responsible for air pollution, too! _Pm__ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
Conundrum 1 #30 April 1, 2005 QuoteQuoteWhoa man, calm down, I was just asking what you tried that you didn't like and you didn't answer so I asked again. Still curious as to what specific fish you tried that you didn't like. I did not mean that to be harsh at all. Probably should have put some smileys in there I guess. But I have noticed that those who like sushi are always bothered that I don't. And then they ask me what I tried and what I didn't like. Anyway, I had sushi made for me by my japanese roomate once. It was salmon. And it is not that I HATE it. I am just ambivelent. It just does not make me jump up and down and do a sushi dance like everyone I know. I felt the same way when I had carpaccio. I could have eaten more, but I would go to a restaurant and go "WOW! Carpaccio!!!" It should also be known that I am not a big fan of much seafood, raw or otherwise. No worries Usually 'new to sushi' people don't like Salmon, it's one of the more fishy kinds. It does't suprise me that you disn't like it. I don't have a problem with that though, some people like it some don't. But each fish tastes different.
kelel01 1 #31 April 1, 2005 I prefer red snapper because it's not as mushy. I had an easier time eating it at first, then I was able to move on to salmon and tuna. Still love that snapper!

I have had other sushi as well, but I admit not much and I can't remember what they were. It was more like, "here, try this."Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing. My dad never liked eggplant. My mother took this as a personal challenge, and must have learned 10 different eggplant recipes, with the certainty that if she just looked hard enough, there would be one that he'd like. He said it never occurred to him to say "you've found it" with the understanding that it would mean that she'd never have that challenge again Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
rickjump1 0 #34 April 1, 2005 You are lucky if you can eat fresh sushi where you live. I used to eat it only when I worked away from home, and it was a real treat. I once got a free hunk of tuna right off the boat in Venice, La. The skipper even had wasabbi(green hot stuff) to put on a sample. rehmwa 2 #35 April 1, 2005 I like sushi, but I don't get all worked up about it. "you want to go for sushi?" gets about the same excitement from me as "you want to go for italian?" But it's a change of pace for me so I rarely turn it down as I get it infrequently. Tuna and salmon and eel. There's a place near the tunnel in Orlando (Sushiology) which is extremely good for the money. ...
