dorbie 0 #1 April 1, 2005 I mean how would you rather be remembered. See the attachments. There's the before shot, then the after shot then the bullshit shot. Now I dunno about you but that before shot is kinda ordinary, wouldn't you rather have everyone in the world gawking at what's left of you in the after shot. Even better, you can't beat having complete strangers you've never met slapping your contorted face on a poster with their favourite quote from the Bible and a picture of Jesus. It's a wonderful way to go.
flyangel2 2 #2 April 1, 2005 I'm sitting here watching T.V. with my son, as they show the after picture of Terri. My son looks at me and says, "Don't ever let me get to that point, and for god's sake, don't show me on T.V." We have agreed, death is a private thing, not a media circus. Makes me wonder about the people hanging out with their posters, how many of them would be willing to take Terri in and care for her for the rest of their lives? I know Terri's feeding tube wasn't removed because of the hassle to taking care of her, but I just wonder how many would jump at the chance to care for someone in that state? Or even help pay for the medical bills.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Tonto 1 #5 April 1, 2005 You know what I like about all these before and after shots? We age. Even if we're dead, and we're kept alive with machines, nothing fools the clock. We get old, we get wrinkles, even if we're never in the sun, whether we fall for the fashion or the metrosexual bullshit or not. For each and every one of us, the clock is ticking. Use each second to be the best you can seems a fitting message. tIt's the year of the Pig.
