funks 1 #1 March 25, 2005 Dear American People, Hey, I have an idea...lets sell some f16's to Pakistan all the while knowing that this will piss India off. Then I will address the issue while I am away on one of my many vacations. Ahhh, who cares what the world thinks, as long as doesnt interfere with my ability to screw the american public, take limitless vacations and piss off every country in the world. Yep, life is great. craddock 0 #2 March 25, 2005 Sorry that I don't feel screwed knowing we sold planes to both countries, or the fact that President Bush took of Good Friday along with millions of other Americans. Where is the problem? That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

Not only are we viewed as the worlds bully but now we are (once again) arming other countries with weapons of war. It is time to change and stop stepping in where we have no business. When will we learn????? And as far as the day off goes..I dont care what day it is. This jackass has taken more time off than rightfully deserved. lawrocket 3 #5 March 25, 2005 Stay away from controversy? Impossible. Cannot be done. Arming other countries? Yeah, it's what happens. Might as well sell the stuff to friendlies. If they become the unfriendlies? Well, in that case, their F-16 arsenal will get them as far as Iran's F-14 arsenal, i.e., nowhere without spare parts. My wife is hotter than your wife. Congress said no planes, but we'll keep the money. Ah, our representatives... gotta love 'em. Good for Bush. He's secured Pakistan's alliance for years to come. The Indian's will get over this. Hell, both countries are already nuclear powers, so how the hell are F-16s gonna tip the balance of power?

We, the French, the Brits, Russians, and Chinese are all in on this war economy.

Congress said no planes, but we'll keep the money. Well done, it's good to see at least one person knows about the bigger picture here although Clinton promised to refund the money in 1998, years after the US welched on the deal. The undelivered F-16s and stolen money had been a huge running sore. This is a healthy quid pro quo for Pakistan's assistance in the War in Afghanistan and the broader theatre. It ain't America's fault that India and Pakistan are at eachother's throats in a decades old territorial dispute. I'd much rather Pakistan bought F-16s than MiGs, thanks. I think India makes their own fighters and buys equipment from Israel and probably Russian. This is not something new. It's the balance of power. Nobody like to hear,"If we don't sell it to them;somebody else will", but that's the truth. At least they don't kill there own people like some of the bananna republics we give military aid to.Do your part for global warming: ban beans and hold all popcorn farts.
